When Jim Davidson envisioned World Golf Village, he drew upon over 20 years of community development experience. The former Arvida Corporation executive, joined by his wife, Sherry, a real estate broker and financial and tax expert, planned a unique residential community with world-class amenities, retail shops and office parks. And when the opportunity presented itself, Jim, along with the owners of the property, offered land to the PGA TOUR for the World Golf Hall of Fame. Along with the World Golf IMAX Theater, the World Golf Hall of Fame is now the centerpiece of the community. Together, the Davidson's have overseen every step of creating a place where families can live, work and play.

Hillman Properties of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is the major investor in the community. An internationally respected investment company, Hillman Properties owns residential and commercial projects in Pittsburgh, Boston, Southern California and Florida.
